Attending university isn't a prerequisite to knowing the existence of exams?

No, but having exams is prereq for experience of preparing to exams a night before (and why other options simply don't work sometimes).

Idk, I'm always confused with education systems around the world. We didn't have "high school" separation, just school/uni.
