Honestly I've got this about @babeljs and now prepack.io. Completely missing the point of either projects.
Why do people always think that anything that touches JavaScript is in competition with JavaScript engines? Such a weird way of thinking.

I think it's a combination of limited understanding of how JS engines work and resistance to adopting JacaScript's extensionability mindset
