I find Monaco's strength is in exceptional cases (large files, files with very long lines…) Might not be relevant?

both are necessary for my use-case. it's just hard to use monaco because of it's module loader not being commonjs

are you still trying out webpack? Should support AMD out of the box for most use cases

Monaco does some weird stuff with web workers and needs actual AMD rather than emulated
