Idea: Redux-style reducers in a web worker and send diffs of state changes to the main browser worker. Has it been done before? Prior art?

wouldnt this also increase initial render time as main script will have to download a worker? would be cool in shared worker though

it would be i don't really care about that, my use-case is for a long running app with lots of heavy components

couldn't you mitigate that issue by using server-side rendering? Unless a <canvas/> is involved

it's a desktop electron app so ssr isn't beneficial
