As a young person with no problems with wrist RSI, what are some tips to mitigate the risk as I get older?

I switched my mouse to the left years ago, use an ergo KB (MS sculpt), cut back on couch slouch & use a desk at right height.

everybody is a bit different. For me, biggest impact was probably using straight kbs less. Unavoidable on laptop unfortunately.

stop typing on laptops. Get a full-sized ergo keyboard. This stopped my RSI at 24 and it never came back.

use a keyboard without a numeric keypad and maybe get a vertical mouse (e.g. at https://evoluent.com/ )
-
adjusting your desk and monitors height correctly and staying away from sports like tennis, golf etc. helps
