TIL when you try to buy something in foreign currency from UK debit card and get a chargeback, you get less due to conversion fees.
I'm confident that the company delayed it deliberately to take advantage of the falling pound and make some money...

I doubt they earn anything from it, it's bank that charges on currency conversions.
