… see the style applied. you can’t design it at your own pace, and then then later wrap with a :hover, y’know?
dev tools has an option to have a psuedo applied to an element always so this isn't really a practical argument

not just hover though. nth-child? say I have .x {…}, and want to apply it only to a child selector? or when @ supports(…)?
