Why in a country where the legal drinking age is 18 are there pubs that have a 21+ restriction
thinking about it more, is age-based discrimination like that even legal? age is a protected category.

Not enough people to care about it who are young. Young people get older. Older people don’t get younger. You too won’t care in 3yrs

Different alcohol licenses allow different ages. There was a JS event I couldn't go to for a while because it was in a > 21 bar :/

iirc, venues can force any limits they like regarding to age; e.g., especially for restricted events or clientele

it's trivial discriminate underrepresented groups. The 18-25 aren't generally politically savvy so they're easy cannon fodder.
