feeling recently that the JavaScript AST in 2016 is like the DOM in 2004: early days with exciting stuff on the horizon.

@jedschmidt@mikesherov@thealphanerd when you mutate the AST you need to somehow translate those changes to the CST which is very difficult
@jedschmidt @mikesherov @thealphanerd basically impossible unless you wrap all AST mutations in APIs which can get really clunky
