@dan_abramov the linked issue predates all majors. API stability being addressed now doesn't change that it wasn't a priority in the past

@sebmck@dan_abramov There have really only been 2 big releases so far. 3.0.0 is "because semver" -
@sebmck@dan_abramov There are three things it's solving. Version 1 got one of them. Version 2 got two of them. 4.0 will get all 3.
