@sebmck seems like a better way to discover, learn, and remember simple markdown than reading a doc.

@jaffathecake @sebmck Definitely helps discoverabilty, that's fine. I want ppl to "discover" how to file good bugs and read contributing.md

@sebmck Not everyone knows Markdown and a lot of people prefer anything WYSIWYG over the extra keystroke, so it's not that rational.

@tmdpw It's not a WYSIWYG though because it's still plain text.

@sebmck @github It's not a convenience feature. It's a discoverability feature. (Not everyone has the GH-flavored markdown memorized)

@brian_d_vaughn none of the formatting options in the toolbar are GH markdown specific

@sebmck @github The keyboard shortcuts are the part I actually care about.
