@sebmck i think settings passed in from babel to SM may be wrong.

@sebmck can't imagine any use-case for "both" that actually duplicates map data. assumed "both" returned map data and added URL comment
@getify https://github.com/babel/babel/pull/966 … When you set sourceMap to inline it doesn't return the map data. Sometimes you want both.

@getify babel-node needs it so it can add source map support to node stack traces but other utils like node-inspector need it inlined. -
@sebmck so in short, if you want the comment in its normal non-data-URI form, you have to do it manually outside of the babel API? - 2 more replies
