It’s honestly pathetic that it took a pandemic for large companies to be more remote friendly. A good reminder that most companies will only change when it’s a necessity.

I think remote can be great in some situations, but I don't understand why it's pathetic that some companies haven't fully embraced it. Seems that it's often treated as a panacea when in reality it's merely an option.
There is a middle ground between "fully embracing" and making it an option.
