It’s honestly pathetic that it took a pandemic for large companies to be more remote friendly. A good reminder that most companies will only change when it’s a necessity.

Also to put on an even more negative spin. I think companies are going to be elated when they realize some employees are going to overwork because working from home will be normalized.

They certainly will like the increased productivity of engineers in cages :) but darn, those with families seem distracted.

Absolutely! I already heard from some people that their companies have seen (not sure how) productivity increases and are no longer eager to bring people back to the office when a couple months ago they were not wanting to send them home
