Also to put on an even more negative spin. I think companies are going to be elated when they realize some employees are going to overwork because working from home will be normalized.

I know ragging on companies and tweeting about remote work is a bit of a meme now. I also know that some people like it and appreciate that separation and environment.

I think remote can be great in some situations, but I don't understand why it's pathetic that some companies haven't fully embraced it. Seems that it's often treated as a panacea when in reality it's merely an option.

There is a middle ground between "fully embracing" and making it an option.

For real. Next I worry that they’re going to equate “working in a pandemic” to “working from home”. I’ve been working from home for a decade and incredibly productive. I’m lucky if I get two productive days per week right now.

Agree. I think that through another lens, companies will only change when the most privileged/abled people are affected and demand that change. The lack of support/distrust around remote work has excluded disabled people forever.
