I am also one of those. And no I didn't get any kind of bailout, even though we applied for PPP. That money isn't going to small businesses.

I didn't just stop paying them right when we told them we had to lay them off. Had the money actually been available to small businesses we would have had the conversation about staying when/if we got approved. Also it's available for self-employed people.

Assuming we got the money for everybody (we got nothing, so far anyway) and somebody didn't want to stay we'd owe that amount back (as far as I understood the program)
