The "specific Twitter style" is belligerent and undermines credibility in not only Alex, but also the messaging from other Googlers and people on the Chrome team. This rationale and defense is disappointing since it places the blame on the reader.
I couldn't agree more. I made peace with it, there wasn't another option beyond escalating through official channels. Chrome's stance is not to enforce official comms, anyone can speak their mind on Twitter. I didn't rage quit over it as it only makes the situation worse.

It undermines the credibility Google and the Chrome team’s effort to engage with the React community.
