Rome will have less special cases for formatting than Prettier. Which I would consider largely a good thing. Prettier is consistent in that "given the same code it will format it the same" but it is not consistent as in "I can predict how it will format my code".

I tweeted a while ago that TypeScripts biggest downfall is that you can configure it so many different ways. If they just took an official stance and stopped the meddling it could possibly thrive in a way that isn’t more akin to infection.
