      All config should live in a __config__ file in its own file. If using >7 different tools, tool configs should be split among types (linting/, builds/, etc.)

      I don't want a flat folder structure I want my directories nested deep. I want my folders to have more layers than an ogre. I want developers to lead ill-fated expeditions into the depths of my file structures, never to be found again.

      Good idea. You don't really need source files at that point either since you can represent it with directory names prettier-config/trailingComma/all/ typescript-config/compilerOptions/lib/dom/ typescript-config/compilerOptions/lib/es2020/
