But isn’t it the same with your editorconfig, github folder or even gitignore? Badically all configd that needn‘t be a separate file but could be merged in a global file. Which we devs usually avoid due to separation of concerns

I wish I could get rid of .editorconfig too. .github folder is nice since I can shove CONTRIBUTING, issue requests etc into it.

All config should live in a __config__ file in its own file. If using >7 different tools, tool configs should be split among types (linting/, builds/, etc.)
