Me: Yeah, there were problems with the tool I used to generate it and I don't have the bandwidth to fix that.
Them: "I enjoy your content and will miss reading it."
Maybe it's just me, but are they trying to put me on a guilt trip?

That makes sense. I guess I didn't give enough context from the email. The way this was written was in the same tone as someone threatening to use another OSS project if you don't fix a bug for them.

Don’t forget that RSS still drives a lot of automation too. It’s the closest thing we have to a universal content API for distributed web publishing. But I totally get the whole “it gives my content away” objection - RSS/Atom feeds with just summaries is a great compromise IMO.
