I guess you’re young enough to still honesty believe corporate processes won’t be shattered on a moment’s notice if the right people want to. Dan can do as he pleases, but it’d be surprising if FB didn’t jack his pay way up if he were to show up with a 3X offer from Netflix.

Salary bands are strict and are specific to levels and are not as wide as ya’ll seem to think! I’m the same level as Dan and moved from the UK to US and am very well aware of salary difference by location.
