Are styrofoam cups for fountain drinks a thing outside of Texas? Given how unrecyclable they are I’m kinda shocked at their prominence.

I was wondering the same thing when I visited Texas! Some of the cups I saw even had a blurb printed onto them about why they're apparently 'better' than paper/plastic cups.

They are pretty great. Shocked at how long my drinks have stayed cool without melted ice but feels like a terrible tradeoff given the environmental impact.

That sums up Texas pretty well.

One thing I loved in Texas is that everyone seemed so friendly and hospitable. Also people actually return their shopping trolleys/carts rather than just dumping them in the parking lot.

My favouritest part is that gas is only $2 a gallon

It was down to $1.70 a few years ago
