No idea why any of this bullshit is even a thing to begin with. Who even wants a public network of shared dashcams? What purpose does that serve? I cannot think of scenarios where you would want this. BlackVue already have an offering for people who manage vehicle fleets.
Well this helps me feel better about procrastinating and not having set up BlackVue Cloud after all this time (didn’t have WiFi where I parked back when I first got the dashcam)
I had the Cloud setup and was even considering getting a mobile hotspot to keep it always connected. Impact notifications while parked would have been really cool. Very relieved that I looked into it more within an hour of activating it (even though it's opt-in public now).
