They have to be connected to WiFi in order for this to work. Some connect it to their cars in-built hotspot if it has one. But most people seem to have theirs set to the home WiFi. I took the screenshots during the day so most of the cars aren't home. At night there's a lot more.

No idea why any of this bullshit is even a thing to begin with. Who even wants a public network of shared dashcams? What purpose does that serve? I cannot think of scenarios where you would want this. BlackVue already have an offering for people who manage vehicle fleets.
