After few months using Android on a Galaxy S10, I feel like I'm in a pretty good position to compare it with iOS. I have not used an Android phone other than an S10 so my experience is limited.

- Broad permissions. Apps constantly asking to access all of my storage and location (indefinitely I guess?). - Fingerprint ID in apps is gross. The UI seems to be specific to the app implementing it.

- Device seems way more carrier tied. I have two phones and switched AT&T sims. Visual voicemail is now broken. No Wi-Fi calling either because I am not using the special AT&T S10 image...?

tl;dr My S10 battery drains quickly, notifications are bad, I don't trust any of my apps, carrier features are neutered, and overall most things are worse. I'll still probably use Android. Only because I'm fortunate to also have an iPhone.

Another significant downside has been autocorrect. Maybe I got used to specific iOS autocorrect quirks, or maybe it got used to me. But I make so many more mistakes when typing on my S10.

That's Samsung's fault not androids though right? I have a Samsung and never open the galaxy store as it's mostly bloat. Apple having sole control over what I can and can't install does worry me, on Android I can install an app download from anywhere
