Replaced by artificial scarcity of high quality products? I.e. you remove them from people that can’t afford so that people that can pay for them feel justified doing so. Like high fashion or Apple. I’m so glad there are business models that encourages giving it away to everyone.
Are there other business models that incentive this that aren't ad driven? A paid premium model that subsidizes free users (eg. most dating websites, Tinder etc) is one strategy but obviously doesn't scale or work everywhere.

They still have to remove something to create that exclusivity. The trick is tricking rich people into something useless so that others don’t miss out on something important. Most dating sites have sketchy supplementary business practices but Tinder seem to walk this line well.

@brave is building a pretty broad platform using@AttentionToken, but a lot of video creators have moved to Patreon to support them as YouTube is constantly demonetizing its creators - paid premium model does seem to scale pretty far horizontally at least.Thanks.
