I strongly recommend @pnpmjs as a great JavaScript package that has all the features you'd want from a modern pm, including workspaces, and has always been developed by a community free of corporate pressure or interests

I will never endorse yarn, regardless of their claims about being disconnected from Facebook. In the end, they'll be Facebook's puppets until Facebook stops using yarn altogether.

Also goddamn it's nice to just be able to be petty and say this out loud. I hated having to keep my mouth shut while my work was smeared and a big co was making shit up about us

I know you like to be the David in the Goliath story but I don't recall anyone making shit up about npm. If only most of the sad things we feared would happen has happened. Also we have (as regular people) stated multiple times that there were only 2 people max on Yarn.

I don't think you're saying anything that Kat hasn't already heard before. Leading with a reference to David and the Goliath is provocative and condescending.

I honestly don't know a different analogy to express this mindset. The "underdog vs the big Co" mindset seems to cast a shadow over certain facts which I felt the need to repeat as they don't seem to be taken into account.

When you work for a big company and interact with the community through it's projects, then you are representing them, and if you want your intent to be interpreted differently then you need to aggressively overcorrect.
