When Lerna changed their license to forbid usage from ICE collaborators a lot of people got angry because it was no longer free software" and was "mixing politics and sofrware". Big fuck you to those people. Would love to see a more formalized version of that license.

It's truly despicable that people are putting free software above protesting locking children and adults in cages but OK

This is wrong on so many level I don't know where to start. Just a few: 1. freedom is here to do things you disagree with too 2. free software idea is way more important than 30 days of detention 3. free software means anyone can use, even China harvesting organs, why not ICE?

Not identifying every bad actor in the world and denying them is not the same as saying you are OK with them using it. Sure, they can't really stop anyone from using Lerna at this point, but imagine being such a soulless husk you believe the freedom to protest is a bad thing

Ok then, what underlying logic will lead the author to pick ICE first? Why not China, North Korea, Arabic countries who kill homosexuals and opress women? Almost every country do detention worldwide of people who cross borders illegaly. For me banning ICE is virtue signalling.

This is why ICE has been the main target with these conversationshttps://twitter.com/sebmck/status/1175771103743971329?s=09 …
