When Lerna changed their license to forbid usage from ICE collaborators a lot of people got angry because it was no longer free software" and was "mixing politics and sofrware". Big fuck you to those people. Would love to see a more formalized version of that license.

This is wrong on so many level I don't know where to start. Just a few: 1. freedom is here to do things you disagree with too 2. free software idea is way more important than 30 days of detention 3. free software means anyone can use, even China harvesting organs, why not ICE?

Yes, ICE is doing thing I disagree with. But the idea behind free software is that it gives people possibilities. And it is likely some serial killer is using Vim to plan their attacks. It is bad, but Vim license shouldn't say anything like: "Don't use it to plan murders."

How is that equivalent at all? One is an actual, legally enforceable action, and the other is a loose request.
