I was pretty vocal about the PATENTS license issue. There is definitely an implicit suppression of public views whenever it gets "close to home" that I struggle to reconcile with, however I am very vocal with expressing my disdain internally
It's hard to reconcile my own opinions and justifications for the companies actions with "drinking the koolaid". It's also basically the only company I've worked for and I joined at 18 so I' m sure I lack a lot of perspective
I don't have a strong allegiance to the company except for Facebook Open Source, but even then it's for specific people who I still work with
Thanks for asking this in a respectful way too, I really appreciate it. I've been confronted with it before by others but it's always abour some specific unrelated Facebook action that they want me to justify, which I typically ignore
