When Lerna changed their license to forbid usage from ICE collaborators a lot of people got angry because it was no longer free software" and was "mixing politics and sofrware". Big fuck you to those people. Would love to see a more formalized version of that license.

Those people are free to license and restrict the products of their free labor as much as they like. I don't see how people not wanting to be complicit with those they consider repulsive as a bad thing.

Something like this is always a slippery slope. It just never feels like a like that until you start gaining momentum For everyone's sanity and to preserve the last 20 years of gains in software industry its best not to go down that road. No matter how tempting it is right now
