It seemed that the main objections were (1) not every “ICE collaborator” was included in the list based on a fairly arbitrary standard of “collaboration” and (2) they tried to still call it an MIT license (which it no longer was when they added the restrictions)
Yeah I worded my tweet carefully since those weren't all the reasons. I just picked the ones that were the most bizzare. Both can be addressed though, and I hope someone does create such a license, even if it's just an experimental thing that nobody uses.
This reminds me the "good not evil" license Crockford used for jsmin and that later amended to allow IBM and associates to use jsmin for evil. Also same not a free/open software compliant discussions back then.
