Frankly you had me at Iceland. Should quit while you're ahead!

As somebody who doesn't care to go outside much I honestly prefer Iceland 100x above any other option mentioned in this thread, so far. Also good for the kids. They learn a different language. English is getting a little old.

If you don't want to go outside then you could probably live literally anywhere. In fact the US would be better since you can get so much delivered. "English is getting a little old" is an interesting statement.

We went to Iceland on our honeymoon. We don't care about take out, at all. My wife prefer to cook above going out / takeout. To the higher level point underneath; sure Iceland imports most things. At the same time people have lived there for quite some time and seem to be fine.

For me, give me an internet connection and I'll probably be fine. For my wife, a healthy environment and a school to teach. For my kids, healthy and safe environment and plenty of cool places to visit. Yeah, Iceland's pretty cool. (Especially in winter time)

Sounds like you're just giving me reasons you should have moved to Iceland instead of the Netherlands

Just wait till those grandparent hormones kick in with your parents. But even besides that, yeah, family > *.

My parents already have grandkids and we're a short flight away. Weird assumption to make but ok. You're projecting onto me and others.

Where we live is technically between where both of their grandparents would live, so I think we'll be fine
