Fascists love to toe the line and have plausible deniability. They'll sell shirts that say a gay man "is a f*g" and then claim it stands for "fig" when we all know that's not how it'll be read.

And it's not just that you made that gesture -- it's that, through your words and actions you've shown that you're the kind of person who *would* make a subtly white supremacist gesture and that's worth looking into.
