Entirely! But also so many people don't seem to want to change themselves and instead want to have others change for them instead.
It's even more fucked because it's usually men saying it to women. I've only had a handful of scenarios where people have felt the need to tell me they unfollowed (don't give a shit), one of which prompted my tweet. Seems to be a lot more common for URMs.

Oof yes. You said a lot here. I'm definitely held to certain standards I didn't ask to be a part of bc I'm an URM From being vocal about my sexuality to the way I dress and carry myself, it gets picked apart alot & they seem to DM their disdain to avoid getting trolled in public

This is also why I try to keep a relatively low profile; I don't need that all in my life. Pretty sure I'd just cap my followers at 6k or 10k

For a reason. If everyone agreed on the same things, how boring. Mind your own business.. if something is THAT truly offensive, remove it from YOUR personal life and be done with it. Don't try and police someone else's personal beliefs or opinions or sexuality .. mydb
