I am not proud to live in the US. Just as I have not been proud to live in Australia or the UK. When you say you are a patriot, or proud of a certain country, you are associated with both the negative (and sometimes positives) effects of that country.

I feel like I oversold the ecological issues rather than on the social ones. Australia has a long history of xenophobia. Refugees are detained by boat and held indefinitely in detention centres. The aboriginal people have been marginalised for a long time.

Also I know exactly what are you talking about bcs Slovakia was voted as most racism country of the EU... There is also absolutely no tolerance to minorities or refugees :/ Its sad...

But as you said every country has its positives and negatives and we have to live our lives somewhere
