Do not be surprised when URMs avoid you because of it, who are typically marginalized by those actions. And don't be surprised when you are grouped with others who have made it a large part of their identity too.

Does Australia have any negatives as a country to live in besides giant spiders and seriously vemomous snakes?

The Australian government is incredibly ecologically backwards. There is a heavy reliance on coal, and the environment is generally ignored. There is a strong belligerence towards renewable energy. Australia has also treated the native indigenous people extremely poorly.
