Why does a project backed by a billion(s) dollar company have a sponsor button? The primary sponsor (FB Open Source) more than covers all expenses. The other backers kinda seem unnecessary.

With FB Open Source more than covering expenses the GH button kinda seems ++. Is there a way for FB Open Source to just take care of this without involving non-FB company/individual backings?

What’s the process to get this setup? Meaning, React Native is way bigger and AFAIK it doesn’t have any sort of sustain like Jest.
