The parser will try both branches with TS and Flow, and filter the suggestions. These could even be fixable in the future.

Instead of “Did you mean” what about “Want to use”? It sounds odd because “Did you mean” is usually used for spellchecking.
-
“Want to use” is odd because the user already made the decision to use JSX, Flow, or TS. “Did you mean” is common with spellchecking but doesn’t mean it isn’t a general purpose phrase to provide suggestions.

Any chance we could avoid the jsx extension. I kinda hate it (tsx too).
-
Maybe. Syntax is derived from the file extension, or comments. Adding another place to describe it, like in config, just increases the surface area even more. I'm not a fan of non-standard syntax being in .js. The
@flow annotation is a hack. - 2 more replies

Curious, is the display of information in Rome diy or did you base it off of a library? It looks soo guuud and helpful
. Are you also exposing it somehow for direct integration in editors or will you keep it as terminal output? -
Everything is custom. It's a diagnostic format that can be serialized to JSON. I have a console formatter which is what you're seeing but it could definitely be displayed in an editor.

That's awesome DX! Clear, suggestive and actionable errors are too rare in current tooling.
