      But afaik the software code is BSD, and the assets are CC-BY 4.0. Someone there at the inception of the project might know more (@sebmck?).

      Isn't the status quo in this case that contributors do and have explicitly licensed it when they've contributed? What are you looking for? A single entity, a CLA, something else?
