Mainly tweeting this so I can reply to future tweets with it. I like TypeScript. I really do. I'm only tweeting because I'm migrating a large codebase and learning about it.

How do you judge someone's faith in 140 characters or less? Asking for a friend.

Still wondering why did you switch to TS though. Is it an internal trend in FB (apparently some teams in FB are switching from flow to TS but I'd like to know why), or are you testing it for personal projects? And if that's the case, why?

I'm working on an internal project called Rome that I hope to open source one day. Flow is not popular in the community so its usage would leave Rome at a significant disadvantage for contributors.

As someone who is learning typescript now, what was your best resource to make the transition??
-
It's similar enough to Flow that they share a lot of concepts. I migrated by renaming all my files to .ts and just googling syntax that I couldn't fix. Then I did the same for type errors. Only possible if you're familiar with some of the terms to search for though.
