Why are you building your own? Are you using Electron? BrowserWindow has a titleBarStyle property where you can give it "hiddenInset" which hides the title bar but still leaves the traffic light buttons inset.
I almost used that but the vertical alignment is wrong and that bugs me. There's an option `titleBarStyle: 'customButtonsOnHover'` which helps a little but then you need to know to mouse near the button region to see them, which seemed like worse UX.
TBH I'm not totally sold on going this route. I'm just playing around because it's the weekend and I didn't feel like doing anything too significant. I wish the built-in controls were a little more... eh, positionable.
