Sometimes tools are too flexible. Configuration options that only exist to support every single possible use case. For example, being able to customize the folder name for a tests. Many small customizations that compound in an unnecessarily complex tool.

I'd even go so far and apply that thinking to code. Every if-statement introduces a whole other branch one has to test for. It can in the worst case double the surface area for bugs. That's why I believe in writing less code matters
