TypeScript versioning seems to be a bit of a mess. There's no way to define a specific version in your tsconfig.json so someone using vscode could be using a different version. Is there something I'm missing here?

Flow has a version field in .flowconfig that allows you to specify a semver range. When starting Flow it will check for compatibility and fail if it doesn't match l. At FB we even have a Flow wrapper script that will start the correct version so you dont even need to install.

Is there a list of good practices in terms of flow tooling for editors besides flow website? Do people at Facebook use the same things that listed there? I am being curious since some things on the flow website seem quite dated
