Why would they have to support older browsers though?
It's an SDK you embed in your own website. Some companies have support for older browsers. With the new Apple guidelines they will be forced to add web login if they have iOS login.

Well once a user signs in with Apple and creates an account on an iPhone, they’re going to want to access the same account on some other device
