Parsing JavaScript is easy compared to Flow or TypeScript. Type arguments on call/new should have never existed: foo<Foo>(bar); Or is it... foo < Foo > (bar);

No idea! I understand why it exists, no idea on alternate syntax, it's just a pain in the ass to implement and makes parsing slower even if you don't use it.
