Is that meant to be impressive? That's just their start screen? Controlling the entire runtime, OS etc gives them a lot of flexibility.

This tweet is missing so much context that it seems deliberately aggravating. Similar rhetoric has always came from Chrome DevRel and it doesn't resonate as well as you think.

Wasn't meant to be aggravating, and looking at the tweet it seems more tone-deaf in hindsight. I was just musing that I hadn't heard of native app developers using a size budget strategy until coming across this.

FWIW I don't think it's fair to classify any tweet from me as being representative of the views of Chrome or Chrome DevRel. I believe that I should be able to casually tweet about web stuff without representing some higher level views, just as you do.

I think you're undermining how your tweets and role is perceived. You're tweeting about web performance, which is in line with chrome devrel. At what point are your tweets personal versus professional when they're the same thing?

I think the point is perfectly clear. This tweet comes from an individual called Jason Miller. It does not come from an account representing Googlers. I think it's more reasonable to assume employees have their own personal thoughts and aren't spokespersons for that company.
