Why?

Because it's a terrible portrayal of the struggles of being bipolar (re: Kanye West and your original tweet). Glamorizing the highs and ignoring the lows. The implication you dont need drugs when you're bipolar is also disturbing.

Thanks for answering me. I genuinely wanted to learn and still do. I totally hear what you’re saying. I understand. For me, I really do struggle with prominent bipolar disorder from 20+ years of growing up on a pendulum between life and death. It is professionally diagnosed.

That tweet was actually tweeted in a manic episode, alongside my invitation to send deep dish pizza from Chicago to Berlin. It’s pretty wild with me. To be honest, the highs do feel quite glamorous. What you don’t see is the lows because I typically hide away when I’m depressed

I often have real dark thoughts and things and have to consciously go looking for hope. It’s pretty grim. I do find some truth however to feeling like I don’t need any type of stimulant at all in manic episodes because, well, I’m manic.
