Branded compressed air cans too. Some people's laptops are nasty.

That's a bit harder to get through airport security.

It was a joke, but it’s the same in checked luggage as deodorant and shaving cream cans

You check in luggage when you visit a conf? ;) And would you just for some swag?

I always travel with checked-in luggage. An extra 10 minutes waiting at the carousel is better than being underpacked

I almost never travel with a checked-in luggage. Coming to the airport up to ~40 min earlier than usual (with just online checkin) and then having to wait at the carousel on the other side is just not worth it for 2-3 day trips.

How late do you get to the airport? My buffer always makes me arrive within the checked baggage time. I'd you have airline status than you can check baggage even later, and its first out. Also dont have to sacrifice on toiletries etc.

I'll be the last to argue with you over how you should travel, but damn - 10 minutes at the carousel?! That seems above-average by a fair amount.

Depends on where you're travelling, and how long you have to spend going through customs.
